Biography

Mr. Vito Pellitteri is the Principal of St. John the Evangelist Catholic School.  In his role as the leader of the school, he works to improve the academic and social-emotional curriculum of the school, collaborates with the staff to help facilitate professional learning and school improvement initiatives, and coordinates building operations and daily routines.  Mr. Pellitteri is committed to improving St. John’s Catholic School and creating an environment where all students can find success.

Mr. Pellitteri received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from Valdosta State University in 2010 and began a career in law enforcement.  In 2012, he started his teaching career at Eighth Street Middle School.  While at E.S.M.S., he created numerous ensembles and quickly began to grow the middle school band program.  While teaching, Mr. Pellitteri earned both his Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction as well as his Education Specialist in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University.  He was selected to the first cohort of the Aspiring Leaders program for Tift County Schools and began to take on administrative duties while still teaching band.  Mr. Pellitteri started at St. John’s in July of 2018.  He is married to Brittany Pellitteri, and they have two children, Will and Eli.
